After a couple of long days driving we arrived in Katherine and found that there was too much water in the gorge and that both swimming and canoeing were prohibited until the water receded somewhat.
Some we had a quick change of plan and decided to head west into WA and the Kimberley's and visit Katherine gorge, Darwin, etc. on our way back. So we are now in Kunnanurra - WA after spending a night in the Keep River Nat Park. This was another little jewel, not often visited and we only decided to go there at all at the last minute but it was really beautiful. Similar geology to Bungle Bungles but there was nobody else around.

Pyromania for Beginners.
Not actually on the CCPS syllabus but a handy life skill.

Isn't he cute!

Fireside with the Griswolds.
We had a great night star gazing with numerous shooting stars, a couple of satellites and Harry swears he saw a UFO.

For the next couple of days we will be based at Kunnanurra whilst preparing to do the Gibb River Rd through the Kimberleys. Meanwhile we are planning to do a helicopter flight over the Bungle Bungles (they have a new aboriginal name now but I cannot pronounce it let alone spell it) and a day trip up to Wyndham and some Barramundi fishing. Watch the blog for the photos of the enormous Barra I will be catching.
